Dear colleagues,

The pace of developments and innovation in the field of information and software technologies has unfortunately (or fortunately!) shown no sign of slowing down. As IS/IT professionals, we are responsible for the successful and efficient adoption and use of new technologies when developing advanced information solutions and services. Some of these novelties are related to modern user interactions based on gestures and voice recognition, others to open, integrated and intelligent web and new business analytic platforms, mobile and cloud-based services, ubiquitous devices as well as new tools and approaches that provide seamless, agile/lean and continuous development and delivery of services aimed at supporting our daily business as well as personal activities. All of them target our ultimate goals – to improve the business performances of enterprises and to contribute to a higher quality of life for everyone.

We should not take for granted the usefulness of ICT-based services or their reliability, security, performance, and other required quality characteristics of information solutions. Thus, it is of crucial importance to pay adequate attention to all these areas — not only during conceptualization and development but also during operation, governance and management. The successful communication and collaboration of all stakeholders is a necessity and best practices as well as lessons learned are especially helpful and beneficial. This year’s OTS conference is a continuation of our efforts to provide a forum aimed at exchanging and sharing experiences obtained by the systematic use of new technologies, approaches and tools, and by critically evaluating their benefits, advantages and shortcomings.

If you want to share or enhance your knowledge regarding the development and management of advanced information solutions, services and technologies, you are kindly invited to join us at the 20th jubilee conference OTS 2015!
